CEO

John Carroll is an entrepreneurial, marketing and business development executive with a consistent record of growing revenue, market share and business valuation.

He founded Service Council™ in 2009 with a vision to create a platform for innovation sharing, shaping and sharpening; where uncommon service-centric businesses can emulate the strategies deployed by Global Service Leaders. Under Carroll’s direction, Service Council has grown from a groundbreaking idea to a community that features greater than 150,000 service executives worldwide across 6 continents, with representation in greater than 30 countries.

Chief Revenue Officer

Greg D’Andrea joined Service Council in May of 2023. As CRO, he is responsible for driving the growth of the Service Council alongside John and the team. Greg’s mission will be to continue to deliver value to our members and partners via Service Council’s offerings while also growing our community and footprint in the space.

Prior to joining Service Council, Greg has worked in the research and analyst space, with leadership positions at LNS Research, Aberdeen Group and SAP Insider. He also spent half his career the healthcare IT space at Meditech, UpToDate and most recently as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Activate Care, leading revenue growth and marketing for those companies.

Greg is a graduate of Stonehill College. He is an avid sports fan and dog lover. He currently resides in Foxboro, MA with his wife, identical twin teenage sons, and his daughter.

Gerardo Pelayo (1)

Gerardo Pelayo, Ph.D.

VP, Research & Advisory

Gerardo Pelayo, Ph.D. is the Vice President of Research & Advisory for Service Council. With a hybrid background that integrates cross-industry hands-on experience with his depth as an analytical modeler (Ph.D. in Logistics & Supply Chain from the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program) built on a process-driven foundation as an Industrial Engineer, Gerardo brings to the table a prescriptive communion between dynamic innovation and operational pragmatism. Having developed his career at the seams of solutions, delivery and growth with a marked focus in the service value chain, Gerardo joins us to deepen Service Council’s expertise on trends, challenges, and best practices for accelerating business outcomes across the service value chain including expanding the lens of research from its current analytical trends into a framework of business best practices. His onboarding will also expand Service Council’s professional services offering with the formalization of the Service Index™ assessment program while assisting organizations with operationalizing the research findings into tangible change management and transformation.

Lauren Wheir Slater

Lauren Wheir Slater

Director of Marketing Operations and Communities

Lauren Wheir Slater joined Service Council in March of 2022. As Director of Marketing Operations and Communities, she is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies that drive business growth and deliver value for the Service Council community. Prior to joining Service Council, Lauren oversaw North American marketing activities for Infomill, where she was instrumental in the creation, launch and management of the sub-brand AnswersAnywhere. Her previous roles have also included teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in South Korea, and sales and account management at the publishing company, W.W. Norton & Co.

Lauren holds a Master of Education (MEd) Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the University of Nottingham, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Washington. She currently resides in Seattle, WA with her husband and dog.

Jaclyn Cooksey

Jaclyn Cooksey

Director of Customer Success and Engagement

Jaclyn Cooksey, Director of Customer Success and Engagement, is a customer-focused, omnichannel marketer who is passionate about helping our members maximize their experience within the Service Council community. Jaclyn has experience in publishing, healthcare, fleet management and field service technology, and has been with the Service Council since August 2023. She lives in Stewartstown, PA with her husband, daughter, and lab-mix Rosie.
