A Letter from the CEO
As we turn the page on the last 2+ years full of adversity and challenge as a result of the global pandemic (COVID-19), I’m excited to share our plans for the 2022 Smarter Services™ Executive Symposium this coming September 19-21st once again in the great city of Chicago. Last year, we built the discussions around the theme “Service. Reinvented.” reflecting on the dramatic evolution we all witnessed amidst the pandemic. Now we turn our attention forward with the 2022 event being designed around the theme ”Service. Forward.”
We are very excited to be working with our new venue partner, J.W. Marriott and the Chicago Travel & Tourism Event Bureau to create a healthy and immersive experience for our guests. The venue has allocated the entire 3rd floor to our event, including mainstage, breakout research track workshops, food and beverage activities, Smarter Services™ Solution Zone (sponsors) and our Technology Showcases.
We have designed the event to align with the interests of not only service leaders but also the personas which make up your strategic leadership teams across people, parts, data and technology. We are so excited to welcome you and your colleagues to a safe and impactful experience. Health & Well-Being
As the world adapts to the new normal and we return to in-person events, the health and well-being of the Smarter Services Executive Symposium attendees remains our top priority. By working closely with JW Marriott in Chicago and Federal, State and Local public health officials, we will incorporate current best practices to provide you with the best level of protection at the Smarter Services Executive Symposium next September.
Our expectation is that we will all practice protocols that reflect a ‘spirit of respect and care’ for our Service Council community throughout the event. SC will continue to actively monitor local, state, and federal guidelines and we may further adjust our well-being protocols if local conditions change as we get closer to the event.
Here are 3 ways we’re protecting your wellness:
Partnering with JW Marriott to maintain their COVID-19 protocols while onsite including access control, protocol signage, sanitizing stations, protective shields at the front desk and reimagined food and beverage stations.
Collaborating with our contractors and the exhibitor and sponsor community to ensure everyone receives training on personal hygiene guidelines and response/recovery protocols related to suspected/confirmed cases of COVID.
Continuing to seek expert advice on up-to-the-moment health and safety direction from the WHO, the CDC, State and Local public health authorities, and recognized health and safety experts.
