Service Council is starting 2024 off with a bang! We’re pleased to announce that Gerardo Pelayo, Ph.D., will be joining our team as Vice President of Research & Advisory. Gerardo boasts an impressive academic background, with a Ph.D. in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from the MIT Zaragoza International Logistics Program, where he graduated cum laude, and a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.
Prior to joining Service Council™, Gerardo was Vice President of Supply Chain Solutions for Innover Digital, where he was the company’s subject-matter expert (SME) in supply chain. While at the company, he was integral in designing the structure, value proposition and engagement methodology of the supply chain consulting and analytics offering.
Gerardo will play a critical role in deepening Service Council’s expertise on trends, challenges, and best practices for accelerating business outcomes across the service value chain including expanding the lens of research from its current analytical trends into a framework of business best practices. His onboarding will also expand Service Council’s professional services offering with the formalization of the Service Index™ assessment program while assisting organizations with operationalizing the research findings into tangible change management and transformation. His addition will significantly increase thought leadership and hands-on experience for our community of service leaders, as well as expand Service Council’s research benchmarking capabilities for service organizations across all industries.

Gerardo is joining Service Council following a year of significant growth. 2023 saw the addition of Greg D’Andrea, Chief Revenue Officer, and Jaclyn Cooksey, Director of Customer Success & Engagement, as well as the expansion of our Industry Advisory Board by 46%.
With Gerardo onboard, Service Council will be better positioned to deepen engagement across our advisory board, tap into the wealth of experience and expertise our 105 Industry and Technology board members have to offer and help our membership (greater than 5,000 worldwide) at large accelerate the achievement of service business outcomes.
